	Smt Assembly Equipment Manufacturer Manufacturing Automation, Inc. was founded in 1993 by Lee Anderson, President and chief design engineer for the company. Manufacturing Automation, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets automated smt assembly equipment entirely from its Colorado Springs facility. Presently the main product line is the Placemax Pick and Place Smt Assembly Equipment for entry level through mid level production shops.


CEO Message My goal is to provide the industry with a quality smt assembly equipment product at an affordable price, that will allow small companies, with a limited budget, to acquire a level of automation in their production that will allow them to be more competitive in the smt assembly arena.

Company Background
Manufacturing Automation, Inc. is a spinoff of a small contract manufacturing business that Lee Anderson was involved in back in the 1980s.

Lee Anderson saw a need for low cost smt pick and place assembly equipment that would allow small startup companies to afford some level of automation in their smt assembly lines.

He went on to design a product that would be used initially in his own production lines. Later after much refinement the product was intriduced as the Placemax Smt Pick and Place Assembly Equipment product line.
